Matting Powder Dispersing Agent DESCRIPTION

Matting Powder Dispersing Agent suitable for solvent-free UV-curable coating systems. It effectively wets, disperses, and stabilizes both surface-treated and untreated silica matting agents, provides excellent viscosity reduction, and significantly enhances the matting performance of the coating.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

Store in a cool, dry place. Mix thoroughly before use. Separation or turbidity may occur below 0°C; warm to 20°C and mix thoroughly. Storage for more than 12 months is not recommended.

ANJEKA 6623 achieves efficient dispersion and stabilization of both untreated and surface-treated silica-based matting agents. During the dispersion of matting agents, ANJEKA 6623 significantly reduces system viscosity, diminishes thixotropy, and promotes Newtonian flow behavior, allowing for higher loading of matting agents. At the same time, it enables more uniform incorporation and distribution of matting agents.

ANJEKA 6623 exhibits excellent compatibility with various conventional oligomers and reactive monomers commonly used in solvent-free UV-curable coating systems.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

The following dosage is based on the ratio of dispersant (active solid) to pigment:

Based on pigment: 5%–18%

The above levels are for guidance. The optimum dosage should be determined through a series of application-related tests.

INCORPORATION and PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

For best performance, the additive should be added to the millbase before the pigment is introduced, allowing full effectiveness of the additive. Premix the resin and solvent components of the millbase, then slowly add the additive with continuous stirring. After the additive is thoroughly dispersed, add the pigment.
