DESCRIPTION

Anjeka 7412 is a silicone surfactant for aqueous coatings, printing inks and overprint varnishes with strong reduction of surface tension and significantly improvement substrate wetting.

 

PRODUCT DATA

 

Composition: Solution of polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane.

Density (23 ℃): 0.96-1.06 g/ml

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

Separation and turbidity may occur at temperatures below 5℃. Warming to 20℃ and mix well before use.

 

ATTENTION

Anjeka 7412 is stable in coating system of pH 4-10. In order to avoid turbidity, the additive requires a small amount of co-solvent in the formulation (approx. 5% of the total solvent content). The effective of Anjeka 7412 is reduced in systems with high co-solvent amounts. In this case, we recommend Anjeka 7333.

 

APPLICATION

Industrial Coatings

Characters and advantages

The additive provides a large decrease in surface tension of aqueous systems and therefore improves substrate wetting and leveling in particular. Foam stabilization does not occur or only very minimally, and recoatability is not affected. The additive does not increase surface slip. If higher surface slip is desired, we recommend Anjeka 7333.

 

RECOMMENDED USE

The additive is recommended for all aqueous coatings, printing inks and overprint varnishes which contain a small proportion of organic co-solvent.

 

RECOMMENDED ADDITION LEVEL

0.05-0.5% additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation.

The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.

 

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

The additive can be incorporated during any stage of the production process. We recommend that the additive is added in the final production stage of coating.
