GENERAL DESCRIPTION

ANJEKA-7306 is a surface additive for silicone-containing room temperature curing plastic systems and solvent-borne coating systems that significantly reduces surface tension. It provides excellent substrate wetting, prevents shrinkage and increases surface slip.

Solvent: 150# Solvent / Ethylene Glycol Diacetate (EGDA)

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

Layering or turbidity may occur at temperatures below 5°C. Heat to 20°C and mix thoroughly.

Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.

SPECIAL NOTE

This additive is safer to use than silicone oil. However, it should be tested for foam stabilization, recoatability and tendency to shrinkage in the corresponding system before using in large quantities.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Features and Benefits:

This silicone additive significantly reduces the surface tension of the coating system and effectively wets difficult-to-wet substrates. It improves acceptance of dust and mist and increases surface slip. The additive reduces the sensitivity of wood and furniture coatings to airflow and improves the orientation of matting powders.

APPLICATION SECTORS

The additive can be used in all solvent-borne systems.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

0.1% - 0.5% of additive (as supplied) based on total formulation.

The above data are empirical and the optimum dosage should be determined through a series of tests.

The additive can be added at any stage of the production process or later. For ease of dosing, the additive can be pre-diluted.
